Kelim Jewelry is designed by Meral Sartekin and her husband, Halil. Born in a rural village in Turkey, Meral moved to Switzerland to study abroad, where she met Halil, began a family, and started designing the Kelim Jewelry line. The beautiful patterns inspire them in the traditional carpets of their native Turkey and the natural beauty of their adopted country of Switzerland. Kelim Jewelry is a collaboration between Meral, Halil, and their nephew Gultekin and is handcrafted in Istanbul, Turkey, from sterling silver and fine silver.
