The Caribbean flamingo is the only flamingo species that breeds in the Caribbean, often forming massive,noisy colonies. Unlike most birds, they feed by stirring mud with their feet, filtering food through their specialized bills.Interestingly, their pink color comes from pigments in their diet, and they can live up to 30 years in the wild.
